    If it is so critical that the angle of the rope to the handle be perpendicular, you are failing to account for that angle changing as the wrench is depressed, which would offset your claim of inaccuracy.

    I think water only, combined with the agitation of the machine, would have removed the dirt just as well. Detergent contains enzymes, which are designed to break down the chemicals that form stains like blood, grass, chocolate, wine, oil, grease. But there is no doubt that manufacturers are recommending way more detergent than necessary. I wonder why? 😛

    My tank was refilling slow and the refill tube was not shooting water. Instead of trouble shooting it, I replaced the whole valve. (found out the removable filter was plugged up) Now the tank refills correctly but the refill tube is bone dry NO water coming out of the it just like the refill tube on the previous valve.

      Interesting. Only time I've seen the refill not shooting water is with the refill valve closed on the 400H model. 🤷🏻‍♂

    The torques for 72 hours cure time seem the wrong way around. Perhaps the samples were accidentally swapped, or perhaps it's random variation of materials. A replay is justified.

    Your pinch of dirt test is really a joke. First of all, when you get dirty dirt gets grounded into the fabric it's not just superficially pushed on there. I suggest you take some white pants and shirt and go do some real work in them get them really dirty muddy dirty nasty then wash them. I find this really ridiculous video because no effort was put into making the laundry dirty to see if it would be clean

    Mine was extremely stuck so I packed duct seal compound (it’s like a putty) around the base of the handle leaving it about an 1/8 inch bigger than the circumference and about 1/4 higher than where the base of the handle touches the bottom. I then poured a mixture of 1/2 warm water and 1/2 distilled vinegar in the little pool area I made with the duct seal. The idea is to let the base of the handle sit in that mixture to loosen up the calcium etc., for about an hour, screwed right off.

    I'm calling marginal bullshit on the absolute necessity of this product. I've been an ASE master tech for 25 years and have never used this primer. I understand that it offers more holding power, but the purpose for using loctite in the first place is to prevent vibration and possibly expansion and cooling from loosening bolts over time. I've never seen an example where one fastener has come loose if properly torqued and loctite used as an insurance policy

    • @HacksbyDad
      @HacksbyDad День тому

      Thanks! I was surprised to learn about the primer. Reading more… it is meant to speed curing time on inactive/passive metals and/or when the fasteners are cold. 👍😎

    Consumer Reports did a SHORT on this topic 3-4 months ago. YOU WIN. Consumers said people use way too much detergent. Detergent is also stored on our clothing. I use half the recommended amount regardless of the size of the load. Unless there is exceptionally dirty clothing, then I use the recommended amount. Also, Armer Hammer detergent has the highest amount of water and Consumer reports it as the lowest rating for detergent.
